TBT ADVANTAGES

TBT makes every kind of snowboarding better. It is almost incredible to see how much better snowboarding gets when you bend your board from rail to rail while keeping full camber tip to tail.
That's why we put all the advantages we discovered over the years on this page, but we still tell you no to believe us. Ever seen a brand talk shit about their own tech? Exactly. So go and try it yourself, don't just believe any company trying to sell you a product.

When going straight, you will only have active edge where you want it - between your feet. This is due to the lifted edges at the nose and tail. Less edge when going straight means less edge catching and less scorpions. Remember that only tilting the board 3 degrees gives you full edge contact again.
Enhanced dynamics gives more speed and better control onto kickers even when they have lots of tracks in the run-in and take off. The forgiveness of Triple Base Technology combined with the responsiveness of normal camber equals smoother landings.
On a conventional snowboard a slightly under rotated jump will often result in an out-of-control landing, or worse, a crash. Triple Base Technology gives you a lot more forgiveness in landings. Triple Base boards tend to track straight after landing even if you are a bit off balance or under rotated because the edges are less likely to dig in. The first thing to touch the snow is your base and not your tip or tail edge!
A TBT Board is more versatile then a conventional flat board. You can ride a stiffer board and still have more forgiveness. You can ride longer boards with greater ease or ride shorter than on your old flat board and still have full control. You can even ride a wider board than you are used to and it will still feel narrow. TBT combines the best of both worlds, enabling you to ride all terrains with just one stick.
From a flat position a TBT board is at first tilted against the width at the waist only, making it easier to initiate a curve. It has the feel of a more narrow board. From one turn to another, the strong edge grip fades out and builds up again. Together with greatly reduced tendency for edge catch in the flat position these factors make edge-to-edge transitions way smoother.

Boards with camber have more pop than boards without camber, but when you add TBT to the mix it gets really explosive. Because of TBT's concave tail and nose shape your board comes preloaded with extra pop. So when you are loading up your tail all the forces go to the centre of your tail section where they will seriously pop you out. It's like snapping an ollie of fresh concrete.
Because the Triple Base has lifted edges over the entire tip and tail section the board will not dig in as deep as a flat board. This released pressure on the widest points of the board results in less vibrations and the steel edge always keeps full contact with the snow resulting in better edge grip. The icier the conditions, the better this board will perform compared to conventional 'flat' boards.
On a conventional flat board you will lose a lot of speed in transitions when going from vertical to horizontal since a conventional board tends to dig more aggressively into the wall. Because of the lifted edges a Triple Base board will dig less into the transition, offering a smoother and faster line from transition to vert. In the pipe, more speed up the wall means more air above the coping. With Triple Base boards you will discover it's easier to go bigger in pipe.
The lifted side-bases in nose and tail give more uplift in deep pow and make you sink in less than on a flat board. Now you can keep riding your freestyle board when it starts snowing. Or switch to TBT freeride base and feel what it is like to ride powder with even less back leg burn.
Because a Triple Base board is pre-shaped at the wider parts of the board it will cause less 'ploughing' than a conventional flat board, which tends to dig too deep at its widest points.

Less unnecessary active edge means less drag and more speed. On top of that less edge catch creates more confidence resulting in even more speed. Now there is no reason why you shouldn't win every race back to the lodge.
As the powder is getting tracked you will need to traverse more and more. With TBT you will always get to the next stash first. Lifted edges on the widest part of your board will make traversing so much more relaxed. On top of that, switching from toe to heel side traverse is so much easier with TBT.
Without super aggressive edges at the wider points of your board it's so easy to hit those butters.
