At first when i saw The One i was skeptical. I had ridden a Burton Custom and a Capita Mercury both great all mountain boards. I wanted to try something new for back country pow. I took a chance and bought The One, I normally ride a 157 or 157 i decided to downsize to a 154. I was not disappointed, the speed, turn initiation, pow riding, and jumps were amazing on this board. The 3BT design of the board makes it virtually impossible to catch an edge, there is so much pop to this board and it is so much fun to ride. Riding this board in chop and ice is super easy and responsive. I love this board and it lives up to its name! The board defiantly lives up to it's name and it truly is The One. 5/5 Stars would recommend to anybody looking for a new agile quiver to ride across the mountain.
Could not be happier with this guy. This board absolutely crushes anything you throw its way. Rode it in all conditions, set back in the deepest snow I've ever experienced and the nose always wanted to come up. Edge hold was rock solid on groomers, an absolute pleasure to carve. Locked in just as well if not better than my previous Jones Flagship. 158 was pretty nimble in the trees as well. Handles chop well. You literally can't catch an edge on this board if you try. It makes flat spins a breeze as well as riding switch and transitioning back and forth from butters and such. A real stand out was the speed of the base. I've never ridden a faster board. Absolutely mobbed past everyone on catwalks. Flex is right where you want it, a little stiffer than a mid flex as advertised. Has plenty of pop for boosting anything your heart desires. Bottom line: buy this board if you're already a solid rider and want to feel confident on anything the mountain throws at you, it won't let you down.
So much fun! The 3BT lets you get in some deep carves, the side uplift gives a similar feel to the looseness of a rocker board, and the bar none the fastest board I've ridden. Rode rocker boards for the past ten years but took a chance on The One.. no regrets here, and for once, i'm not looking for the next board to buy. Keeping it in my quiver for years to come. Treat yo self, you'll be happy you did.
WOW! I purchased The One and on the first day riding it, I felt like my riding ability got 10 times better. 3BT is the greatest thing I have experienced since sex. As for the board itself, the name pretty much sums it up. Floats in pow like a god, carves like a knife, and has so much pop I feel like im on a god damn trampoline. This board is necessary in your quiver because when in doubt, you can always count on The One. I dont plan on every buying another board without 3BT in it.
Honestly never thought I could find a snowboard that matched how I imagined a snowboard should perform. This thing is extremely fun. Tbt is where it’s at for me. All the positives are true and negative reviews are baloney. You can absolutely rail carves on this beast or float around catch free on a wave or clouds. Have fun. Ok never go back to a flat board.
The one felt nice and planted at speed, really nimble on tight turns quick between edges with plenty of response and power throughout the turns. In the small amount of fresh snow the one floated with ease and even in the 154 never felt like the nose was going to dive below the snow.
If you're having girl problems I feel bad for you son, cause this Bataleon is better than one! The One E.S. feels so good to ride, it's better than sex! I am exploding with stoke!!!!
I have ridden many boards this year in this young season - after the first run with The One my only thoughts were which Bataleon board I was going to buy next and why I never rode a Bataleon board before. The 3BT is the real deal. I was literally trying to catch an edge and could not. It just kept delivering and delivering all mountain goodness to the point my wife said " you really like this one" I replied " Well it's The One" It dined on crud like it was starved. In the powder I just laughed to the point my goggles fogged up. So true story -she got me The Jam for Christmas..Im ok with that! Buy this board- The One- I will report back on the Jam.
The One is built for any type of riding condition. From pow to groomers, the triple-based nosed and slightly less triple-based swallowtail allow for that surfy feel and that float you always hope for in a board. If your looking to lay into some soulful turns and enjoy everything the mountains have to offer, then The One is a must-have in your snowboard quiver.
While Whitegold may have gone, Bataleon’s premium line of boards lives on. Featuring the DNA of last years Whitegold Proto, The One E.S. is an exceptional snowboard for anyone looking for an all-mountain option that is fun to ride and handles superbly. It’s light, smooth and effortless to turn thanks to the clever core construction and refined Triple Base Technology. In the past I have found Bataleons can be a bit swimmy, but The One E.S. holds an edge really well in all conditions and gives you positive feedback. It’s these qualities that make you feel invincible when you are on The One E.S., a board that has the potential to take your riding to the next level and beyond.
